STATUS AS OF 12/2/2020

In light of continued concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, including current government restrictions and limitations on large gatherings and travel restrictions, both domestically and internationally, RFID Journal has made the decision to postpone its annual RFID Journal LIVE! face-to-face event to September 2021. Originally slated to take place April 27-29, 2021, the new event dates are Sunday, September 26 to Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. This date change is designed to provide participating brands and companies the time to effectively plan their participation during these challenging times. 

“Our community is incredibly eager to come together again in person. After consulting with key exhibitors and surveying past attendees, we made the decision to secure dates in late September in order to maximize success for the event for all of our customers,” explained Mark Roberti, Founder, RFID Journal. “We want to build on the success of our virtual event in October 2020 and feel the additional time will allow both exhibitors and attendees of RFID Journal LIVE! more time to make plans to participate in the event.”  

RFID Journal’s mission, since its founding in 2002, has been to educate companies on how to use radio frequency identification and other Internet of Things technologies to improve the way they do business. RFID Journal LIVE! provides three days of education with more than 100 sessions and certification training, as well as access to more than 150 of the world’s top RFID solution providers.

 “For two decades, RFID Journal LIVE! has been the global gathering place for potential users of RFID, sellers, researchers and others,” Roberti said. “The pandemic prevented us from holding a physical event in 2020, but the entire community is eager to get back to business, and we are looking to enable that by moving the event to September.”

General FAQs

Do you have more information regarding the RFID Journal Virtually LIVE! event?

We are planning a fully virtual event experience this fall featuring much of our same agenda planned for RFID Journal LIVE! 2020. We are working to confirm our dates and speakers, and will be announcing full details and agenda very soon!

Should I cancel my flight?

Many airlines are offering waived change fees at this time. We recommend changing your flights and any other transportation services to align with the April 27-29, 2021, show dates at the Phoenix Convention Center as soon as possible.

What about my hotel reservation?

If your hotel reservations were booked through our official housing provider EventSphere, your reservation will be automatically cancelled with no charge or penalty to you. No other follow up will be necessary.

If you made a hotel reservation outside of our hotel block (directly with the hotel or through booking providers unaffiliated with RFID Journal LIVE!), you will need to cancel your reservation on your own.

 

What are the future dates for RFID Journal LIVE!?

The next in-person RFID Journal LIVE! will take place April 27-29, 2021, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Ariz. RFID Journal Virtually LIVE! will take place on September 30 – October 1.  

Attendee FAQs

I am currently registered to attend the show. Will my registration roll over to next year’s event on April 27-29, 2021?

Yes! If you were already registered to attend RFID Journal LIVE!, your funds will automatically roll over to RFID Journal LIVE! 2021 in Phoenix. You will also be preregistered for the upgraded conference pass for RFID Journal Virtually LIVE! 2020, with all fees waived.

For additional questions regarding your registration, please contact Kelsey Kulbarsh at Kelsey.kulbarsh@emeraldx.com. All refund requests must be made by August 14, 2020, to be considered.

Will RFID Journal be offering additional education opportunities through the remainder of this year?

Yes! We are well underway working to provide a virtual event platform where you can take part in our curated education sessions, learn from industry leaders, connect with solution providers and engage with the RFID community. Please expect confirmed dates and more updates on our RFID Journal Virtually LIVE! event in the coming weeks.

In addition, our frequent webinar and online event offerings will continue through summer and into the fall. Please find the agenda of upcoming sessions, as well as ondemand editions of our past seminars here.

I am currently contracted to exhibit at the show. Who do I contact about my booth space and sponsorship?

Will my exhibit space and/or sponsorship contracts automatically roll over to 2021?

No. We will be instituting a rebooking process based on our priority points system as planned. However, there will be an option to credit your funds to 2021, but a new booth space/sponsorship contract will be required for our new venue.

I booked a scanner through Experient. How do I get a refund?

Please send an email to answers.leadservices@experient-inc.com with a copy of your receipt/confirmation or invoice number. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing by Experient.

I booked operational services through RFID Journal LIVE! vendors. How do I get a refund?

To request a refund for any Shepard services such as freight shipping, material handling, furniture, etc., please email Aaron Batson with Shepard at abatson@shepardes.com.
